Performing at Boston Symphony Hall, one of the world's acoustically perfect spaces, was a dream come true - made possible by winning the Steinway Piano Competition of Massachusetts.

Preparing for the Hall

Adapting to Symphony Hall's legendary acoustics required:

  • Adjusting pedal technique for clarity
  • Re-evaluating dynamic contrasts
  • Understanding the hall's unique resonance

My Debut Program

I selected works that would showcase both the hall's acoustics and my musical range:

  • Bach/Busoni's Chaconne in D minor
  • Beethoven's Sonata Op. 27 No. 2 ("Moonlight")
  • Rachmaninoff's Prelude in B minor, Op. 32 No. 10
  • Chopin's Andante Spianato et Grande Polonaise Brillante

That evening in Symphony Hall remains one of the most magical musical experiences of my life, reinforcing why I dedicate myself to this art form.
